Climate-Controlled Storage in Waynesboro, Virginia

When your move doesn't happen all at once, your belongings need a safe place to wait. American of Virginia operates 70,000 square feet of climate-controlled warehouse space at our headquarters in Waynesboro, so your furniture, keepsakes and business records are protected from the Valley's summer humidity and winter cold until you're ready for them.

Storage for Every Kind of Move

• Between closings: when you've sold your home but can't move into the new one yet.
• During renovations: keep furniture safe while floors, paint and remodeling are finished.
• Downsizing: take your time deciding what to keep, sell or pass along to family.
• Military and corporate assignments: secure storage for the length of a temporary relocation.
• Long distance moves: hold your shipment until your new home is ready for delivery.
• Businesses: furniture, files, equipment and inventory during an office move or expansion.

Humidity Control You Can Count On

Our warehouse holds humidity between 45% and 56% year-round, the range that keeps wood from swelling and cracking, metal from corroding, and paper, photographs and artwork from warping or growing mildew. The system runs on emergency electrical backup, so a storm or a power outage doesn't put your belongings at risk.

Why Warehouse Storage Beats Self-Storage

With a self-storage unit, you rent a truck, load everything yourself, unload it into the unit and repeat the whole process when it's time to move in. With American of Virginia, our crew packs and loads your belongings once. Each item is inventoried, stored in our facility and delivered to your new home when you schedule it. Fewer handlings mean fewer chances for damage, and you never have to lift a box.
